Zen of Watercolor Course April 8th and 9th, 2011

The course is called “the Zen of Watercolor” The evening is spent gessoing several pieces of paper, then dropping different colors of ink onto the paper.  It is left to dry over night.  The next day the instructor guides you to pull images/designs out of the ink and create a painitng.  The idea of the course is to practice loosening up with our painting….and maybe learn to embrace and work with those things that happen in watercolors that we don’t plan! Here are the details on the art course. If anyone is interested they can call me, Kristin at 780-385-3504 or email me at kcuss@hotmail.com.   The cost is $125, but we’ll also have to chip in some money for her accomodations – which will depend on the cost and how many people come

She supplies:
10 small sheets of watercolor paper
Colored inks black gesso/white gesso
Acrylic Paint

We bring:
Our watercolors
Our brushes
Ultra Fine tip gel Pen – She’s not sure but maybe scrapbooking pens
would work
Gel Pens – if we have but don’t go out and buy
Watercolor pencils – if we have again don’t go buy

Times:
Friday 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM  Then Homework-> decide on images we see and
when we get home -> then we find examples of landscapes, florals,
figures whatever images we think we see.  We can use the computer,
books, photos etc….If we are good at painting out of our heads we can
go with that.  Sounds like most people prefer to use some type of
reference.

Saturday – 9:30AM – 3:30 PM

Where to find us and how to get ahold of us!
